Military Connected Families Home

Welcome: Easing Change for Military-Connected Students

Welcome to the Monterey Peninsula Unified School District. We know how important it is to help our military-connected students transition smoothly into our schools and school district. We welcome military families with open arms and want you to know our teachers and staff understand the needs of military-connected students and their families.

MPUSD has 7 elementary schools, 3 transitional kindergarten - 8th grade schools, 2 middle schools, 3 comprehensive high schools, an alternative high school, a Digital Academy, two preschools, and an adult school. Our schools that primarily serve our military-connected students are:

  • La Mesa School (TK - 8th grade)
  • Marshall Elementary School (TK - 6th grade)
  • Monte Vista School (TK-8th grade)
  • Monterey High School (9th - 12th grade)
  • Seaside Middle School (7th - 8th grade)

Our district is an open enrollment school district and families can request a transfer to any school within the district during our open enrollment student transfer period or if they are new to the school district based on space available.
