I was born and raised on the Monterey Peninsula, attending MPUSD schools: Hilltop Elementary, Walter Colton Jr High, Monterey High School.  I was extremely fortunate to have some of the best teachers, coaches, administrators, support staff, and was given many opportunities to grow as a student.  I can say the same about the people that work in the district today. I am a retired teacher/administrator/coach having spent 37 wonderful years in MPUSD.  I have two grown children, my son is a chef locally and my daughter is a Special Education teacher in San Francisco.  In my spare time, I chair the City of Marina's Recreation and Cultural Service Commission, on the Board of the Marina PAL, and the president of the Japanese American Citizen League of the Monterey Peninsula.  I also am a high school football official, working games in the bay area. 

I look forward to representing the Marina schools and as a Board member of the Monterey Peninsula Unified School District.
